Help a learner who can’t afford to wait.
Reading difficulty doesn’t pause while a family saves up. A child who spends another year falling behind doesn’t just lose ground academically — they start to believe something about themselves that is very hard to undo later.
The Reading Tricks Scholarship Fund exists to shorten that wait. It covers course access and tutoring for families who can’t pay full price. Every dollar goes directly to a learner.
What the fund covers
Course access
A full seat in the training, for a parent or teacher who would otherwise be working from library books and guesswork.
One-on-one tutoring
Sessions for a learner who needs direct instruction now, not after a waiting list clears.
Partial support
Most requests aren't all-or-nothing. Covering part of a cost is often what turns a no into a yes.
How to give
Online giving isn’t wired up yet. We’d rather say that plainly than put up a button that doesn’t work. Email us and we’ll set it up directly — one-off or recurring, whichever you prefer.
One thing to know before you give: Reading Tricks is a limited liability company, not a registered charity, so gifts to the scholarship fund are not tax-deductible. We’d rather tell you that up front than have you find out in April.
If you need the fund
Ask. There is no form, no means test, and no queue to justify yourself in. Tell us who the learner is and what you can manage, and we’ll tell you what we can do. Plenty of the families we work with started with exactly that email.
