Privacy policy
What we keep, and what we don’t.

Reading Tricks is a small family business, not an advertising company. We collect what we need to give you access to what you paid for, and nothing else. We don’t sell your data, we don’t share it with advertisers, and we don’t run analytics or tracking on this site.
What we collect
Your email address
We sign you in with a magic link, so an email address is the whole account. It's stored in our authentication system and in a profile record.
What you've enrolled in
Which courses you bought, when, the amount and currency, and the payment status — so we know what to give you access to.
Payment identifiers, not payment details
We store the Stripe customer and session identifiers. We never see or store your card number, expiry, or security code — those go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers.
Teacher access grants
If you're granted teacher access, we record the email, how it was granted, and when it was redeemed.
What you send us
If you email us, we keep the email. That's how conversations work.
Cookies
We set one kind of cookie: the session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary for the site to work, and it goes away when you sign out.
There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and no third-party trackers on this site. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of service providers to run the platform. Each receives only what it needs, and each has its own privacy policy.
- Supabase — Accounts, sign-in, and the database holding profiles and enrollments.
- Stripe — Payment processing and sales tax. Card data goes to Stripe directly.
- Bunny.net — Video hosting and delivery for course lessons.
- Cloudflare — Website hosting and content delivery.
Children
Accounts on this site are for adults. Our courses are written for parents, teachers, and tutors — the people who teach children, not the children themselves. We don’t knowingly create accounts for anyone under 18, and we don’t ask for information about a child through this website.
If you arrange one-on-one tutoring with us, we’ll naturally learn things about the learner in the course of that conversation. That stays between us and you, is used only to teach that learner well, and is never published, sold, or shared.
What you can ask us to do
Email katnida6@gmail.com and we’ll act on any of these:
- Tell me everything you have on file about me.
- Correct something that's wrong.
- Delete my account and my data.
- Send me my data in a portable format.
One limit worth stating plainly: deleting your account also removes your access to any course you bought, and we have to keep basic transaction records for tax and accounting purposes even after an account is gone.
Security
Sign-in uses emailed magic links rather than passwords, so there is no password of yours for us to lose. Database access is restricted per user at the database level. Payment card data never reaches our systems.
No system is perfect. If we ever discover a breach affecting your information, we will tell you what happened and what to do about it.
Changes
If we change what we collect or who processes it, we’ll update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes get an email to account holders, not a silent edit.
